New Office of Research Compliance and Regulatory Affairs

Effective January 2005 the Office of Research Compliance and Regulatory Affairs (ORCRA) was established. The units that comprise this new office are:

• Biosafety
• IRB
• IACUC
• Post-Approval Monitoring
• Radiation Safety
• Research Compliance Training

 Each of these individual units was in place previously, what’s new is the working and reporting relationships. The mission of ORCRA is to provide the research community with services to ensure regulatory compliance.  By coming together as one department we can more effectively meet the needs of the research community.
